Dodgers 4, Giants 0: Clayton Kershaw tossed a complete-game shutout and the visiting Dodgers completed a three-game sweep to move into a first-place tie atop the National League West.
Kershaw (8-6) allowed five hits with seven strikeouts while recording his fifth career shutout as the Dodgers completed their first road sweep of the Giants since June 2010.
The Giants’ scoreless-inning streak reached 20 innings, and they were shut out for the second time in as many days. The Dodgers outscored San Francisco 19-3 during the three-game series.
Ryan Vogelsong (8-5) allowed two runs (one earned) over six innings as the Giants lost their fourth straight after winning nine of 11.
Los Angeles tallied twice in the second inning when Juan Rivera scored on Hanley Ramirez’s fielder's choice and Luis Cruz doubled in a run with two outs.
The Dodgers added to their lead with two more runs in the eighth on RBI singles by Cruz and Mark Ellis. Cruz went 2-for-4 and extended his career-high hitting streak to 12 games.
