Rockies 3, Giants 0: Tyler Chatwood pitched five shutout innings as
visiting Colorado and its major-league worst pitching staff recorded its second shutout in four games.
Rookie Wilin Rosario doubled twice and caught two runners
stealing, and Tyler Colvin had two hits and an RBI as the Rockies won for
the third time in their last four contests, and for only the fourth time
in their last 17 meetings with the Giants.

San Francisco
outscored Colorado 35-13 in a three-game sweep at Coors Field last
weekend, including an 8-3 victory Sunday when Tim Lincecum beat Chatwood. On Friday, Chatwood (2-2) allowed three hits, walked two and struck out
two.
Lincecum on Friday
recorded his third straight quality start for the first time this
season, but fell to 6-12. He allowed three runs, six hits, walked two
and struck out three in seven innings.
Colorado's Adam Ottavino
walked two in two innings, Matt Belisle pitched a perfect eighth and
Rafael Betancourt worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his 20th save in 21 chances to
complete the three-hitter.
Dexter Fowler's two-out single scored D.J. LaMahieu with the game's first run in the third inning.
Colvin
stroked a two-out single on an 0-2 pitch to right field to plate
Rosario after his second double of the game came with one out in the
fourth. Chris Nelson's sacrifice fly in the seventh inning scored
Colvin, who led off with a single, stole second and moved to third on
LaMahieu's sacrifice bunt.
San Francisco threatened with runners
at first and third and one out in the fifth inning, but Lincecum struck
out and Rosario threw out Brandon Crawford trying to steal second.
The
Giants' Buster Posey had his 13-game hitting streak snapped when he
flied out as a pinch hitter with two on and two out in the seventh
inning.
Crawford went 2-for-3 and is batting .440 (11-for-25) against the Rockies this season.
