Reds 5, Diamondbacks 2: Johnny Cueto took over the major-league lead in victories while Ryan Hanigan and Todd Frazier drove in two runs apiece as National League Central-leading Cincinnati posted its sixth win in eight road games.

Cueto (17-6) limited Arizona to two runs and four hits in seven innings as he became the majors' first 17-game winner. The right-hander, who walked one and struck out five, improved to 5-0 lifetime against the Diamondbacks with his eighth triumph in nine decisions.

The victory gave Cincinnati the best record in baseball and extended its division lead to seven games over St. Louis.

After Frazier scored on a wild pitch by Wade Miley in the second inning to tie the game, Hanigan put the Reds ahead for good with a two-run single. Arizona got within 3-2 on Gerardo Parra's RBI double in the fifth, but Frazier created some breathing room in the eighth with a two-run triple as Cincinnati increased its division lead over St. Louis to seven games.

Jonathan Broxton tossed a perfect eighth inning and Aroldis Chapman worked around a leadoff walk in the ninth for his 33rd save in 37 opportunities. Chapman has converted a franchise-record 25 consecutive save chances.

Miley (14-9) worked seven effective innings, allowing three runs and six hits with a walk and five strikeouts. The rookie had yielded a total of one run over 14 frames in his previous two starts.

Jason Kubel hit a sacrifice fly for Arizona, which fell to 2-7 on its 10-game homestand and dropped 8 1/2 games behind first-place San Francisco in the NL West.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Diamondbacks have scored more than four runs only once over the first nine games of their homestand. ... Cincinnati 1B Joey Votto went 0-for-1 with a walk in the first game of his rehab assignment with Single-A Dayton. Votto, who played five innings, has been sidelined since mid-July with a left knee injury that required arthroscopic surgery. ... RHP Matt Lindstrom struggled in his debut with Arizona, allowing two runs and three hits in one inning. Lindstrom was acquired from Baltimore on Sunday for LHP Joe Saunders.
