Reds 10, Rockies 3:
Chris Heisey and Ryan Ludwick hit three-run homers and Brandon Phillips had three hits and two RBIs for host Cincinnati.

Devin Mesoraco added a solo shot and Joey Votto and Heisey had two hits apiece as Cincinnati scored four runs in the first and seventh innings and increased its lead in the National League Central to 1 1/2 games over St. Louis.

Jeremy Guthrie (2-3) allowed six runs (two earned) and 10 hits in five innings to suffer his first loss on the road.

Red starter Mike Leake lasted only 3 2/3 innings and allowed three runs and nine hits.

Reliever J.J. Hoover (1-0) was credited with the victory after pitching 1 1/3 scoreless innings and striking out two. Sam LeCure followed with two scoreless innings and struck out three as four Reds relievers combined to allow one hit and struck out seven.

After Phillips' two-out double tied the game 1-1, Jay Bruce drew a walk before Heisey drove Jeremy Guthrie's 0-1 pitch over the fence in left for his first homer of the season.

Bruce snapped an 0-for-15 slide with an RBI double in the third to give Cincinnati a 5-1 lead.

Tyler Colvin's two-out, two-run single in the fourth cut the Reds lead to 5-3 and chased Leake. Colvin put Colorado on the board in the first when he singled home Marco Scutaro, who led off the game with a triple.

Mesoraco's blast came in the fourth and Phillips added an RBI single on an 11-pitch at-bat in the seventh before Ludwick sent Matt Reynolds' 0-1 pitch over the center field wall.

Colorado's Jordan Pacheco went 3-for-4 to extend his career-high hitting streak to 11 games.
