Giants 6, Reds 5: Angel Pagan hit a three-run home run off Reds closer Sean Marshall one pitch after Marshall thought he had a called third strike, and San Francisco snapped its seven-game losing streak at Great American Ball Park.

Marshall’s 0-2 pitch appeared to be a strike, but he didn’t get the call, and Pagan reached out and pulled the next pitch into the left-field seats to hand Marshall (0-2) his first blown save.

Santiago Casilla did what Marshall could not, striking out the side in a perfect ninth for his second save in two opportunities since closer Brian Wilson had season-ending Tommy John surgery. Javier Lopez (2-0) pitched a scoreless eighth for the win.

The Reds took a 4-2 lead on Jay Bruce’s two-run blast in the sixth against starter Ryan Vogelsong, who allowed four runs on seven hits over six-plus innings. Scott Rolen’s solo homer off Guillermo Mota made it 5-3 in the seventh.

Reds starter Homer Bailey gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings and was in line to win his second straight start before the Giants’ rally.

Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval singled leading off the fourth to extend the majors’ longest active hitting streak to 19 games. Sandoval has hit safely in all 19 games this season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Giants have lost 12 of 17 at Great American Ball Park, where their most recent win had come in 2010. … San Francisco avoided its second three-game sweep on the road this season. The Giants opened the campaign by losing three straight at Arizona. … Reds 1B Joey Votto was honored before the game with the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame’s Tip O’Neill Award. Votto went 1-for-4 with a double and three strikeouts. … Reds LHP Logan Ondrusek pitched 1 2/3 innings of perfect relief. Ondrusek has not allowed a run in nine innings over 10 appearances this season.
