Indians 6, Mariners 5 (11): Asdrubal Cabrera and Carlos Santana had RBI singles in the 11th inning as Cleveland overcame an early four-run deficit to extend Seattle's road woes.
After Michael Saunders' RBI double in the top of the 11th gave the Mariners a 5-4 lead, the Indians answered in their half of the frame off closer Brandon League (0-3).
Cabrera followed a pair of walks with a one-out single to shallow right to plate Jose Lopez. An intentional walk loaded the bases for Santana, who singled to center to whip Progressive Field into a frenzy.
The late rally gave the victory to Joe Smith (4-1), who served up Saunders' double to deep center. Dustin Ackley, who extended his hitting streak to 13 games earlier in the game, raced around the bases to give Seattle the brief lead.
Lopez atoned for a previous error by belting a three-run homer and Cabrera had another RBI single for the Indians, posted their fourth straight victory.
With two outs in the eighth inning, Lopez drilled a high fastball off the railing in the left field to tie the game at 4-4. Lopez's second homer doubled his RBI total to six.
John Jaso ripped an RBI double and scored twice and Brendan Ryan added a run-scoring single for the Mariners, who fell for the 12th time in 13 road games.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Indians star Travis Hafner exited the game with a right hand contusion. The team said he was day-to-day. ... Cleveland third baseman Jack Hannahan sat out for the fourth straight game with lower back soreness. His MRI showed inflammation of a facet point in his lower back. He is listed as day-to-day. ...
