Phillies 3, Nationals 2: Jimmy Rollins continued his power surge with two solo home runs and Philadelphia won its second straight against host Washington.

Rollins, who hit an inside-the-park home run in Tuesday’s series opener, crushed a third-inning home run into the second deck off Edwin Jackson (6-7), who was pulled after throwing 108 pitches and giving up three runs in 5 2/3 innings.

Vance Worley (6-6) allowed two unearned runs on six hits and no strikeouts over seven innings, becoming the first Phillie to pitch seven-plus innings with no earned runs and zero strikeouts since Nino Espinosa in 1980. Jonathan Papelbon worked a perfect ninth for his 23nd save in 26 opportunities.

The Phillies hit back-to-back homers in the fifth when Rollins led off with his 12th home run and Nate Schierholtz blasted Jackson’s offering over the right field wall for his first homer since being traded from San Francisco on Monday.

Washington loaded the bases in the first and scored twice on Adam LaRoche’s single and Danny Espinosa’s groundout.

The Nationals threatened again in the second, but Jackson was thrown out at home by left fielder Domonic Brown when attempting to score from second base on Bryce Harper’s single. Washington, which remained 2 1/2 games ahead of Atlanta in the National League East, had just two hits after the third inning.

Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman (back) was out of the starting lineup for the second straight game, but he singled as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Jackson allowed 14 homers in his first 19 starts this season. … Philadelphia OF Juan Pierre stole two bases in the ninth inning to move past Ozzie Smith and into 20th place all-time with 581 stolen bases. …Nationals RHP Jordan Zimmermann’s next scheduled start has been pushed back from Friday to Saturday due to minor shoulder inflammation. … Phillies C Carlos Ruiz was unavailable because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
