Blue Jays 10, Yankees 7: Rajai Davis doubled twice and drove in five runs while saving two with his glove as host Toronto held off a late charge to snap its five-game skid and New York's four-game winning streak.

Davis delivered a two-run double during a six-run fourth inning that gave the Blue Jays a 7-0 lead. He made it 10-1 a frame later with a three-run double that capped his season-high five-RBI performance.

Davis also made a key play in left field in the seventh, robbing Casey McGehee of a two-run homer by jumping and snagging the ball just before it went over the wall. The catch proved to be crucial as the American League East-leading Yankees went on to score three times in the inning to pull within 10-7.

Edwin Encarnacion went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and Moises Sierra also collected three hits to support J.A. Happ (1-1), who notched his first win in six games as a Blue Jay despite allowing four runs and six hits over 5 2/3 innings. Encarnacion finished a triple shy of the cycle.

Derek Jeter, who also missed hitting for the cycle by a triple, began New York's comeback attempt in the sixth with a solo homer and Robinson Cano added a two-run shot later in the frame to cut the deficit to six. Jayson Nix and Jeter hit back-to-back RBI doubles off Brad Lincoln in the seventh and Nick Swisher followed with a run-scoring single.

Darren Oliver came on and yielded a double by Mark Teixeira before hitting Cano with a pitch to put the tying run on base. But the veteran left-hander induced a groundout by Andruw Jones to end the rally.

Casey Janssen worked a perfect ninth for his 15th save in 16 opportunities.

Phil Hughes (11-10) lasted only four innings, surrendering seven runs and nine hits.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The top two home run-hitting teams in the major leagues combined for three blasts, their total over the first two games of the series. New York is tops in the league with 176 homers while Toronto is second with 155. ... Happ was making his second start after four relief appearances for the Blue Jays following his acquisition from Houston. ... With a triple, Encarnacion would have become the first Blue Jay to hit for the cycle since Jeff Frye accomplished the feat against Texas in 2001. ... Jeter, who recorded a cycle last August, nearly became the first player to register one against Toronto since George Brett in 1990.
