Angels 6, Orioles 0: Albert Pujols hit a two-run homer and Erick Aybar, Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo each added a solo blast as host Los Angeles shut out Baltimore for the second straight day.

Brad Mills (1-0) pitched five strong innings in his Angels debut and Maicer Izturis added an RBI single in the rout.

Orioles starter Wei-Yin Chen (7-5) lost his third straight decision due to an inability to keep the ball in the yard. Aybar began the onslaught in the second, sending his second home run out to left-center. Trout and Pujols struck in the third, with Trout sending a breaking ball out to left and Pujols following Torii Hunter’s double with his 14th blast.

Chen would surrender Izturis’ RBI single and was charged with five runs on five hits in four innings. He struck out five and issued three walks.

Mills, who came over from the Toronto Blue Jays in the offseason in exchange for catcher Jeff Mathis, was called up from Class AAA Salt Lake to close the first half and looked impressive, yielding only three hits while striking out six and not walking a batter.

Trumbo, who will participate in the Home Run Derby on Monday, sent his 22nd blast out in the fifth off Luis Ayala.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Orioles (45-40) will go into the All-Star break in second place in the American League East despite having dropped 13 of their last 19 games. … The Angels gave 1B Pujols a jump start on the All-Star break rest by starting him at designated hitter in each of the last two games. … Baltimore RF Nick Markakis and C Taylor Teagarden are each playing rehab games with Class AA Bowie and are expected back after the break.
