Carlos Ruiz had an RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning as the Philadelphia Phillies completed a sweep of their doubleheader against the Florida Marlins by rallying for a 5-4 home triumph on Wednesday.
With Florida nursing a 4-2 lead in the ninth inning, Leo Nunez was unable to secure his 20th save of the season. Shane Victorino's single up the middle plated Ruiz and Michael Martinez to tie the game.
Chase Utley had both an RBI double and triple for Philadelphia, which posted its sixth straight win and ninth in 11 outings.
Ryan Madson (3-1) pitched a scoreless inning to pick up the win, while Michael Dunn (4-5) was saddled with the loss.
John Buck had a two-run single and Gaby Sanchez belted a solo homer for Florida, which dropped its sixth straight and 16th in 18 games.
After specifically requesting to face Roy Halladay, Anibal Sanchez rewarded manager Edwin Rodriguez with a strong outing. He allowed two runs on four hits and struck out six in seven innings, but settled for a no-decision.
Halladay was denied in his bid to become baseball's first 10-game winner. The reigning National League Cy Young Award winner permitted four runs on six hits and struck out eight in seven innings.
