Mark Ellis had three hits and four RBIs while Gio Gonzalez pitched seven shutout innings as the Oakland Athletics rolled over the visiting Los Angeles Angels 14-0 on Tuesday night.
Coco Crisp added three hits and two RBIs for Oakland, which swept the two-game series and has won three of its last four. Josh Willingham added two hits and two RBIs for the Athletics, whose previous high this season was nine runs.
Gonzalez (5-2) allowed only a fifth-inning single to Howard Kendrick. The lefthander struck out seven and walked one.
Tyler Chatwood (2-2) gave up seven runs on seven hits in 2 1/3 innings for the Angels, who have lost three in a row and five of six.
The Athletics had five doubles and eight different players had at least one RBI.
