Mitch Moreland hit a three-run homer and Matt Harrison took a shutout into the eighth inning as the Texas Rangers won their 11th straight game, a 3-1 victory over the host Seattle Mariners on Sunday.
Harrison (8-7) allowed just one run and five hits in 7 2/3 innings as Texas finished a four-game sweep and sent Seattle to its season-high ninth straight defeat.
Mark Lowe got the final out of the eighth and Neftali Feliz struck out two in the ninth for his 20th save as Texas allowed just two runs in the series.
David Murphy left off the second with a single and Mike Napoli walked before Moreland homered to right field off Blake Beavan (1-1).
Seattle got on the board when Josh Bard led off the seventh with a double and scored on Jack Wilson’s one-out single. It was just the Mariners’ second run in 43 innings.
The Rangers’ 11-game winning streak is the longest in the majors this season. Texas also won 11 straight in June of last season.
Beavan allowed three runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings.
