Ian Kennedy pitched seven strong innings en route to his National League-leading 18th win, and Paul Goldschmidt homered and drove in two runs as the Arizona Diamondbacks recorded a 7-2 road victory over the San Francisco Giants on Saturday.
Aaron Hill, Ryan Roberts and Gerardo Parra each had two hits and an RBI for Arizona, which increased its lead over San Francisco in the NL West to six games.
Kennedy (18-4) allowed one run and five hits in recording his 10th win in 11 starts. The 26-year-old, who improved to 10-2 on the road, has yielded three earned runs or less in each of his last 11 outings.
Goldschmidt snapped a 1-1 tie with a solo homer in the fourth and gave the Diamondbacks a 3-1 advantage an inning later with an RBI single. Roberts hit a leadoff double and scored on Parra's two-base hit in the sixth before delivering an RBI single in the ninth to cap the scoring.
Tim Lincecum (12-12) suffered his third loss in four outings as he surrendered five runs and nine hits in five innings. The two-time Cy Young Award winner has allowed more than three earned runs in each of his last two starts after yielding two or less in nine consecutive outings.
Pablo Sandoval had a pair of sacrifice flies for the Giants.
