Brandon Belt and Chris Stewart belted two-run homers, and Cody Ross added a solo shot and an RBI single as the San Francisco Giants rolled to their sixth straight win, 9-1 over the host Colorado Rockies on Friday.
Madison Bumgarner extended his personal winning streak to five games with seven strong innings and delivered a two-run double for the Giants, who climbed within five games of Atlanta in the National League wild card standings with 11 remaining.
San Francisco is six games behind Arizona in the NL West The Diamondbacks lost at San Diego 2-0 on Friday.
Belt gave the Giants a 2-0 lead in the fourth with his second homer in as many days. Ross launched his 14th of the year in the fifth and followed Bumgarner's two-out double in the sixth with a run-scoring single before leaving the game with a leg injury.
Stewart capped a three-run seventh with his blast to give San Francisco a 9-1 advantage.
Bumgarner (12-12) allowed an unearned run and six hits en route to his first win in six career starts against Colorado. The 22-year-old has yielded two earned runs over 20 innings in three outings against the Rockies this season.
Alex White (2-2) was reached for six runs and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings. White has surrendered 27 runs over 27 2/3 innings in five starts with Colorado since being acquired from Cleveland in the Ubaldo Jimenez trade July 30.
Jordan Pacheco collected three hits for the Rockies, who have lost three of four.
