Kevin Millwood pitched seven scoreless innings and the Colorado Rockies shut out the host San Diego Padres 3-0 on Friday to snap a three-game losing streak.
Millwood (2-1) gave up nine hits with no walks and struck out eight in his fifth start for the Rockies. He improved to 8-1 in 15 career starts against San Diego.
Rafael Betancourt worked a perfect ninth for his fifth save.
Aaron Harang (12-5) allowed three runs - two earned - and struck out seven over seven innings for the Padres, who lost their season-high eighth straight game.
Dexter Fowler tied his own club record for triples in a season with 14, and Jonathan Herrera had three hits and scored two runs for the Rockies, who are 2-5 on their nine-game road trip.
Jason Bartlett had three hits for the Padres, who failed to advance a runner past second base after the second inning.
