Justin Upton snapped an eighth-inning tie with a solo blast as the Arizona Diamondbacks edged the visiting Colorado Rockies, 4-3, on Tuesday.
Henry Blanco added a solo home run and Xavier Nady drove in a pair for the Diamondbacks.
After the Rockies failed to cash in with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth, Upton led off the bottom of the frame against Felipe Paulino (0-1). Upton took three balls and then, with the green light on 3-0, drove his sixth homer of the season out to right for an opposite-field blast. His brother B.J.hit a ninth-inning walk-off homer in the Rays' 3-2 win over Toronto earlier Tuesday.
David Hernandez (1-0), who worked into and out of the jam in the top of the frame, picked up the win and J.J. Putz pitched a scoreless ninth for his seventh save.
Carlos Gonzalez provided a highlight for Colorado when he broke out of a power drought with a solo homer in the fourth - his second of the season and first since April 14.
