Miguel Tejada brought home two runs with a double deep to left-center with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the San Francisco Giants a 3-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday night.
Buster Posey started the rally with a one-out single against St. Louis closer Ryan Franklin (0-1). Pat Burrell walked and with two outs, Tejada stayed alive in a nine-pitch at-bat before hitting the ball that center fielder Colby Rasmus seemed to have a beat on, but had bounce off his glove.
The win was the second straight walk-off in the series for the Giants, who received their World Series rings prior to the game.
Rasmus gave St. Louis a 2-1 lead with a homer off Matt Cain in the seventh that looked like it was going to be enough to provide Jaime Garcia his second win. Garcia allowed a run and four hits in six innings.
Cain left after seven, yielding five hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
