Pinch hitter Casey McGehee hit a two-run homer with two out in the eighth inning, lifting the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-5 comeback victory over the visiting Chicago Cubs on Sunday afternoon.
Chicago had taken a 5-4 lead in the top of the seventh on an RBI groundout by Tyler Colvin before McGehee struck against reliever Kerry Wood (0-1), who had not allowed a run this season.
Kameron Loe (1-0) and John Axford combined to pitch a scoreless ninth inning. Axford picked up his third save.
The Brewers (5-5) powered their way out of two earlier two-run deficits, tying the score at 2-2 in the first inning on a two-run homer by Prince Fielder and knotting it at 4-4 in the third on a two-run shot by Ryan Braun.
Aramis Ramirez drove in three runs for the Cubs (4-5) with doubles in his first two at-bats.
