Logan Morrison and Mike Stanton belted two-run homers and John Buck added a solo shot as the Florida Marlins snapped an eight-game slide with a 6-4 victory over the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday.
Anibal Sanchez (6-1) turned in a quality start for the Marlins, who matched their run total from the previous four games.
Threatening to drop to .500 for the first time since April 7, Florida got its first lead in a week when Morrison reached Joe Saunders (3-6) for his eighth homer in the first inning.
The Marlins held a 2-0 advantage until the sixth inning, when Stanton got the green light on 3-0 and belted his 15th homer deep into the stands in left.
The Diamondbacks jumped back into it with a four-run rally in the seventh before lefthander Mike Dunn snuffed out the threat.
Sanchez lasted 6 2/3 innings and was charged with three runs while striking out eight.
Rookie Steve Cishek worked the ninth for his first major league save.
