Emilio Bonifacio’s sacrifice fly scored Scott Cousins in the top of the 12th inning to give the visiting Florida Marlins a 7-6 win over the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday.
Cousins took out catcher Buster Posey on a collision at the plate to score the winning run for the Marlins, who have won four of their last five. Posey was injured on the play and left the game.
Ryan Webb (1-3) earned the win with two scoreless innings. Burke Badenhop worked a perfect 12th inning for his first save of the season.
Guillermo Mota (2-1) took the loss for the Giants, who rallied for four runs in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings.
Aubrey Huff capped the Giants’ four-run ninth with his two-run single off Leo Nunez, who blew his first save after going 18-for-18 to start the season.
Florida’s Mike Stanton knocked in four runs on four hits, including a two-out, bases-loaded double in the top of the ninth.
