Pinch-hitter Edgar Renteria drove in the winning run with a single in the bottom of the 10th inning and the Cincinnati Reds rallied from a three-run deficit to beat the Florida Marlins 4-3 on Saturday.

Josh Johnson turned in another dominating performance with seven scoreless innings, but the Marlins' usually solid bullpen couldn't hold the lead.

Jonny Gomes, Miguel Cairo and Paul Janish had RBI singles in a two-out rally against Edward Mujica in the eighth as the Reds erased a 3-0 deficit.

The Reds scored the winning run against lefthander Mike Dunn (1-1), whose throwing error helped set up for Renteria's heroics.

Johnson allowed five hits and two walks and struck out six. The ace righthander has allowed one run on 11 hits in 28 1/3 innings over his past four starts.

Reds closer Francisco Cordero (1-0) pitched two scoreless innings for the win.

Reds starter Edinson Volquez had one of his best outings of the year - he allowed one run on two hits in five innings, but issued five walks.

The Marlins, who had won eight of 10, lost their season-opening series to the New York Mets, but have not dropped a series since. They will need a win in Sunday's series finale to keep that streak intact.
