Donnie Murphy singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Florida Marlins a 3-2 victory over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.
Murphy's two-out single scored Omar Infante after reliever Sean Burnett had gotten within one out of getting out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam inherited from Drew Storen (0-1).
Murphy went 2 for 5 after he entered the game 1 for 7.
Florida's Logan Morrison hit his second home run, a solo shot in the second off Nationals starter Jason Marquis.
Washington's Ryan Zimmerman hit his first home run, a solo shot off Sanchez in the third, to give the Nationals a 2-1 lead.
Pinch-hitter Greg Dobbs tied it at 2 with a sacrifice fly off Tyler Clippard in the seventh which scored Murphy, who doubled earlier in the inning.
Marlins starter Anibal Sanchez allowed two runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out seven.
Ryan Webb relieved Sanchez in the sixth and got Jerry Hairston Jr. to hit into a fielder's choice and strand runners at first and third.
Edward Mujica (1-0) worked a perfect 10th and struck out two.
Marquis limited the Marlins to two runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings and struck out two.
