David Ross' single to left field with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted the Atlanta Braves to a 2-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday night.
One night after the teams played 19 innings, Ross singled on the first pitch he saw from reliever Chris Leroux (1-1) to drive home Nate McLouth, who started the inning with a single.
Scott Linebrink (4-2) pitched a scoreless 10th to earn the victory.
Ross also had an RBI single in the sixth and went 2-for-4 as he took over the starting catcher's duties from Brian McCann, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a strained left oblique.
The Pirates took a 1-0 lead in the sixth on a solo homer by Garrett Jones.
Atlanta's Jair Jurrjens allowed one run, six hits and struck out four in seven innings to earn his third straight no-decision.
Paul Maholm, who effectively changed speeds all game, allowed one run, nine hits and struck out eight in seven innings.
Atlanta won 4-3 on Tuesday night in a game which lasted 6 hours, 39 minutes.
