Carlos Gonzalez hit an RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Colorado Rockies a 3-2 victory over the visiting Atlanta Braves on Wednesday night.
After Eric O'Flaherty (1-3) retired the first two batters, Dexter Fowler reached second base on a fielding error by third baseman Martin Prado. Pinch-hitter Ty Wigginton was walked intentionally before Gonzalez lined O'Flaherty's first pitch into right field to easily score Fowler.
Huston Street (1-3) picked up the win after tossing a perfect ninth for Colorado, which has won two straight meetings with Atlanta after dropping the first five this season.
Todd Helton's two-run homer in the first, which extended his hitting streak to nine games, held up until the eighth as Juan Nicasio continued his home dominance by allowing only one run and five hits over seven innings. Nicasio is unbeaten with a 1.58 ERA in six starts at Coors Field this season.
David Ross got Atlanta on the board in the second with an RBI double and Dan Uggla tied the game 2-2 in the eighth with a run-scoring single off Matt Lindstrom, which also stretched his hitting streak to 12 games.
Atlanta's Tim Hudson held the Rockies to two runs over seven innings after posting a 10.20 ERA over his first three career outings at Coors Field.
