Pinch-hitter Brooks Conrad's ninth-inning single off Ryan Franklin gave the host Atlanta Braves a 6-5 win over St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday.

Alex Gonzalez led off with a popup that shortstop Ryan Theriot dropped, and Joe Mather bunted Gonzalez to second. Conrad flared one to center and the Braves celebrated while snapping the Cardinals’ four-game win streak.

Atlanta overcame a four-run deficit to salvage the finale of the three-game series and move within one game of .500 (14-15).

It was 4-0 St. Louis when the Braves rallied for three runs in the sixth, highlighted by Gonzalez’s two-run homer. Atlanta tied it in the seventh on Albert Pujols’ error and went ahead on Martin Prado’s RBI single.

The Cardinals tied it in the eighth when Yadier Molina’s sacrifice fly scored Matt Holliday, who had doubled for the second time.

Franklin, formerly the Cardinals' closer, fell to 0-3.
