Chris Heisey and Edgar Renteria homered and Mike Leake tossed six innings to lead the Cincinnati Reds to a 7-5 home win over the Cleveland Indians on Sunday.

Cincinnati defeated Cleveland for the first time in six games and avoided a season sweep against the intrastate rival.

Leake (8-4) settled down after Shelley Duncan's two-run homer in the second put Cleveland ahead, holding the Indians scoreless until a two-run sixth.

Francisco Cordero pitched the ninth inning for his 17th save of the season.

Fred Lewis drove in two runs, including the go-ahead single in the second.

Heisey's solo homer ignited the three-run rally off Mitch Talbot (2-5). Lewis added a run-scoring single in the three-run fourth inning.

Renteria belted his first homer of the season - a solo shot - for Cincinnati in the fifth inning.

Cleveland's lead didn't last long after Duncan's home run. Following Heisey's homer, Miguel Cairo's RBI single tied the game. Lewis' bloop single to right gave the Reds the lead.

Lewis' RBI single gave Cincinnati a 4-2 lead in the fourth. Joey Votto and Ramon Hernandez added sacrifice flies in the inning.
