Derek Holland pitched his second career shutout and Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz hit two-run homers as the visiting Texas Rangers defeated the Cleveland Indians 4-0 on Saturday night.
Holland (5-1) allowed five hits, struck out five and walked one as the Rangers extended their winning streak to four games and won for the seventh time in their last eight.
Hamilton's home run came in the first while Cruz's was in the seventh. Both players also homered in Friday night's 11-1 win.
Fausto Carmona (3-7) allowed four runs in 6 1/3 innings as Cleveland dropped its third straight. He's 0-4 in his last six starts and hasn't won since May 3.
The victory continued the Rangers' mastery of the Indians. Texas has won 15 of the last 18 meetings against Cleveland and 10 of the last 11 at Progressive Field.
The Indians (33-23) have lost eight of 11 and have dropped five in a row at home, a season high.
Shin-Soo Choo, who is hitting only .246, was held out of Cleveland's lineup.
