Carlos Santana halted a prolonged slump with three hits and a pair of RBIs and Mitch Talbot pitched shutout ball into the seventh inning as the visiting Cleveland Indians cruised past the Toronto Blue Jays 6-3 on Tuesday night.

Santana, who came into the game mired in a 4-for-30 slump, hit a third-inning sacrifice fly and added a run-scoring double in the fifth off Jays hurler Brandon Morrow (2-3), who has yet to win at home this season.

It was Santana's first multi-hit game since May 17 and his first multi-RBI game of the month.

Talbot (2-1) took care of the rest, allowing a run on six hits over 6 1/3 innings for his second road victory in as many outings this season. He has surrendered just one run in 14 1/3 innings away from Cleveland.

Indians third baseman Jack Hannahan helped out on defense, spearing a Jayson Nix liner in the third and robbing Jose Bautista of a sure base hit to finish the inning.

Yunel Escobar belted a solo home run while Bautista and Juan Rivera added run-scoring singles in defeat. Bautista led the way with three hits while Escobar finished 2-for-2 with three walks to extend his hitting streak to 12 games, equaling his career high set in 2008.

Morrow stumbled through his five-inning stint, charged with six runs on nine hits while striking out nine. He's now 0-3 with a 6.18 ERA in five starts at the Rogers Centre.
