Michael Young had a season-high four hits, Julio Borbon drove in a season-high three runs and Neftali Feliz saved his first game since April 15 as the host Texas Rangers pulled out a 7-5 victory over the New York Yankees on Saturday night.
Young got the Rangers started with a solo shot in the first. David Murphy belted another solo blast in the second, and Texas scored three more that inning – two on a triple by Borbon – to take a 5-0 lead.
The Yankees battled back with four in the third, including a three-run triple by Robinson Cano, and tied it 5-5 on Nick Swisher's homer in the sixth.
The Rangers grabbed the lead for good in the sixth on a sacrifice bunt by Borbon and an RBI single by Young.
Texas starter Derek Holland lasted three-plus innings, and allowed four runs, four hits, five walks and struck out four. Reliever Arthur Rhodes (1-1) got the victory, and Feliz pitched a perfect ninth in his first game since being activated from the disabled list with shoulder inflammation.
New York starter Bartolo Colon went 4 1/3 innings, and allowed five runs on nine hits. Reliever Boone Logan (1-2) gave up two runs.
