Pablo Sandoval and Juan Uribe had three hits apiece and Matt Cain pitched seven solid innings to lead the San Francisco Giants to an 8-4 victory over the visiting New York Mets on Saturday night.

Andre Torres added a three-run homer as San Francisco beat the Mets for the third straight contest. The Giants have won five consecutive games and 10 of their last 12.

Sandoval went 3-for-4 and had three RBIs. He delivered a two-run double in the seventh inning and a run-scoring single during the Giants’ five-run second.

Uribe went 3-for-3 and was hit by a pitch. Uribe drove in San Francisco’s first run of the game with a run-scoring single. Torres capped the five-run second with his eighth homer of the season.

Cain (7-8) allowed two runs and four hits while winning for the first time since June 13. Brian Wilson got the final out for his 25th save.

The Mets went 24 straight innings without scoring in the series until Ike Davis hit a two-run homer off Cain in the seventh.

Davis hit a second homer in the ninth off reliever Santiago Casilla.

Buster Posey also homered for San Francisco as the Giants roughed up Mets starter Hisanori Takahashi (7-4) for six runs and seven hits in 2 2/3 innings.
