Rod Barajas launched his second homer of the game in bottom of the ninth inning to lift the New York Mets to a 6-4 win against the San Francisco Giants on Friday.

Barajas' game-winning, two-run shot of Sergio Romo (0-3) was his ninth of the season - and his sixth in his last six games. It came after the Giants forced extras in the top of the frame.

John Bowker hit a pinch-hit home run off Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez to tie it at 4-4. It was the first homer allowed this season by Rodriguez (2-0), who had allowed only one run in 12 previous appearances.

Rookie Ike Davis also hit two home runs for the Mets, who took a 3-0 lead on Jason Bay's RBI double in the first and back-to-back homers by Davis and Barajas in the second. Davis added another solo shot in the fourth, his third homer in 11 games since being called up.

Mets starter Mike Pelfrey had his streak of 27 consecutive scoreless innings snapped in a six-run frame last Saturday against Philadelphia, but he bounced back nicely Friday. He gave up three runs on eight hits before leaving with one out in the eighth. Pelfrey struck out four and didn't issue a walk, but he didn't figure in the decision after Rodriguez's second blown save of the year.

Aaron Rowand had two hits and two RBIs for the Giants and is 9-for-23 in five games since coming off the disabled list.

Mets third baseman David Wright extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a single in the sixth.
