Rickie Weeks and Casey McGehee both hit home runs and Dave Bush pitched six effective innings to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to an 8-3 victory over the Washington Nationals on Sunday.
The Brewers completed a three-game sweep of the Nationals with the win and now have won four straight overall entering an important series with National League Central-rival Cincinnati.
Weeks hit a two-run shot in the fourth to put the Brewers up 5-0. It was Weeks' 20th homer of the season. McGehee added his 14th of the year, a three-run shot, in the seventh to give the Brewers some breathing room and make it 8-3.
Bush (5-8) allowed three runs - two earned - and six hits in six innings. He did not walk a batter and recorded seven strikeouts to snap a two-start losing skid.
Ross Detwiler (0-1) took the loss, allowing five runs and three hits in 3 2/3 innings. Detwiler walked three and recorded four strikeouts.
Nyjer Morgan and Adam Dunn each had two hits and an RBI for Washington, which finished a 10-game road trip with a 3-7 record and now goes home to face National League East powers Atlanta and Philadelphia.
