Jeff Francoeur had four hits and drove in two runs as the New York Mets defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 10-4 on Sunday at Miller Park.
The Mets pounded Brewers pitching for 16 hits and scored two runs in the sixth, two in the seventh and four in the ninth.
Luis Castillo's two-run single in the sixth broke a 4-4 tie while Angel Pagan hit a two-run homer in the seventh. Henry Blanco added three hits for New York.
Rickie Weeks homered twice for the Brewers, a solo shot in the first and a two-run homer in the seventh.
Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (2-0) allowed four runs in seven innings.
Milwaukee starter Randy Wolf gave up four runs and left after five innings with the scored tied before the Brewers bullpen imploded, giving up 11 hits and eight runs. Jeff Suppan (0-2) took the loss, allowing four runs and six hits in 1 2/3 innings.
The Brewers had taken the first two games of the series. Milwaukee had won four of five prior to today’s loss.
