Roy Oswalt did not have his best control, but the Los Angeles Dodgers could not get to him anyway.
Oswalt gave up six walks but allowed just one hit and Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino each hit a home run to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 5-1 victory over the Dodgers in the rubber-match of a three-game series on Wednesday.
Oswalt (10-13) had six strikeouts in his 6 1/3 innings of work to improve to 4-1 in seven starts with the Phillies.
Rollins led off with a homer to left and Victorino also went deep to left in the second inning to put the Phillies ahead, 2-0. That was enough for Oswalt, who did not allow a hit until Casey Blake singled with two outs in the sixth. Oswalt left with one out in the seventh after walking Ryan Theriot.
Chase Utley had three doubles and drove in Rollins in the seventh and the ninth, and Rollins added an RBI single in the ninth.
Clayton Kershaw (11-9) pitched well, but was victimized by the lack of run support. Kershaw allowed five hits and two runs with two walks and 11 strikeouts in six innings. Kershaw dropped to 0-4 in six career starts against the Phillies.
The Dodgers avoided the shutout on an RBI single in the eighth by James Loney off reliever Ryan Madson.
