Rickie Weeks had three hits and drove in three runs and the Milwaukee Brewers rode a four-run first inning to an 11-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.
Prince Fielder had two hits and drove in a pair of runs and Casey McGehee had two RBIs for the Brewers, who will look for the three-game sweep on Thursday.
A day after Clayton Kershaw was rocked for seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, Dodgers starter Chad Billingsley was tagged for four runs before his team came to bat.
Fielder singled in a pair, Ryan Braun scored on a wild pitch and Alcides Escobar brought home another with a triple.
Billingsley (2-2) settled down thereafter to keep the Brewers off the board, but took the loss in six innings of work.
Doug Davis (1-3) notched the win by scattering three runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Los Angeles got within 4-3 on Garrett Anderson’s single in the sixth, but Milwaukee scored five times in the eighth for the sizeable cushion.
Braun, Escobar and Craig Counsell all drove in runs for Milwaukee.
