Ryan Braun and Rickie Weeks both hit home runs and Randy Wolf pitched seven shutout innings to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-1 victory over the Houston Astros on Tuesday at Miller Park.
The trio of Braun, Weeks and Wolf helped the Brewers snap an eight-game home losing streak. It was Milwaukee's first home triumph since a 17-3 drubbing of the Pittsburgh Pirates on April 26.
Braun hit his eighth homer of the season in the first, a two-run shot, to give Milwaukee a 2-0 lead that Wolf would make stand the rest of the way.
Wolf (4-4), allowed four hits and three walks with four strikeouts before turning it over to the Brewers bullpen.
Weeks made it 4-0 with a two-run shot of his own in the seventh and Chris McGehee had an RBI single and Alcides Escobar an RBI double later in the frame to make it 6-0.
Felipe Paulino (0-7) remained winless this season for Houston, yielding two runs and seven hits in six innings.
Humberto Quintero had an RBI double in the ninth for the Astros, who have dropped three straight.
