Mike Stanton homered twice among three hits and Emilio Bonifacio drove in a run as the Florida Marlins completed a three-game sweep of the Washington Nationals with a 6-5 victory on Sunday.

Dan Uggla added an RBI and Chad Tracy scored a run for the Marlins, who completed their seven-game road trip with a 4-3 mark.

Stanton got it started with a solo blast in the second and Bonifacio singled in Cameron Maybin to make it 2-0. Bonifacio eventually came around to score on a throwing error by pitcher Jordan Zimmermann to extend the lead to three.

Washington grabbed two runs back in the bottom of the frame but Stanton was at it again in Florida’s next turn, touching Zimmermann (0-1) for a two-run blast deep to left.

The 20-year-old rookie slugger now has 20 homers in 81 games since being called up to the majors.

The Nationals pushed across runs in the fourth and fifth to cut the deficit to one run, but the Marlins bullpen worked 4 1/3 scoreless innings to hold the lead.

Burke Badenhop (3-5) got credit for the win and Clay Hensley worked the ninth for his third save of the season and third in as many days.
