Hanley Ramirez drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lead the Florida Marlins past the St. Louis Cardinals 5-4 on Saturday
Ramirez added a solo homer and Dan Uggla tied it in the bottom of the ninth with a solo blast for the Marlins, who snapped a five-game slide.
Chad Tracy singled to shallow right field off Ryan Franklin (6-2) with one out in the 10th. Ramirez came up next and drove a deep shot into the gap in right-center for a double, chasing in Tracy with the winning run.
Yadier Molina tied it in the top of the ninth and Aaron Miles drove in the go-ahead run off Florida closer Leo Nunez.
It was Nunez’s second straight blown save and seventh this season. He has allowed at least one run in each of his last three appearances.
Nunez’s failure wasted another sterling effort by ace Josh Johnson, who bounced back from his worst outing of the season with a strong eight-inning effort. Johnson allowed two runs on five hits while striking out five and not walking a batter.
The right-hander did not allow a hit until the fourth inning and surrendered just one hit over his final four frames but was replaced for the ninth despite having thrown only 99 pitches.
