Casey McGehee drove in his 101st run of the season in the 11th inning as the visiting Milwaukee Brewers posted a 4-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night in the first of a season-ending three-game series.

Corey Hart greeted Sam LeCure (2-5) with a leadoff single in the 11th to extend his hitting streak to 16 games. Ryan Braun drew a walk and Hart advanced to third on a long flyout to left field by Prince Fielder.

McGehee hit a potential ending-inning double play off Jordan Smith, but second baseman Brandon Phillips booted the backhand attempt for his fourth error of the season.

Mike McClendon (2-0) pitched the 10th for the win and John Axford recorded his 24th save for Milwaukee, which won its fourth straight and eighth in 11 games.

The Reds, gearing up for a likely NLDS series with the Philadelphia Phillies starting Wednesday, scored their runs on sacrifice flies by Joey Votto and Phillips and a squeeze bunt by Paul Janish.

Cincinnati starter Travis Wood lost his no-hit bid when Rickie Weeks hit his 29th home run of the season with one out in the sixth. He was charged with three runs and three hits with a walk and six strikeouts.

Milwaukee starter Mark Rogers pitched well in his second big league start. The fifth overall pick in the 2004 draft allowed two runs and two hits with a walk and six punchouts in five innings. After walking Drew Stubbs to lead off the game the right-hander retired 13 straight batters.
