Aramis Ramirez blasted a pair of two-run doubles and Derrek Lee and Geovany Soto belted two-run homers as the Chicago Cubs recorded a 12-6 triumph over the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday.
Alfonso Soriano had a solo shot and added a pair of RBI singles and rookie Starlin Castro tripled and stole home for Chicago, which banged out 16 hits in this one.
Ryan Dempster (8-7) settled down after surrendering a two-run homer to All-Star Ryan Howard in the first inning. The 33-year-old British Columbia native allowed just the two runs and six hits with nine strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.
Every member of the Cubs' starting lineup had at least one hit - with the exception of Marlon Byrd, who scored twice in the contest.
Howard belted another two-run shot and Shane Victorino and Raul Ibanez added RBI singles in the ninth inning for Philadelphia, which saw its four-game winning streak come to an end.
Jaime Moyer (9-9) permitted six runs and five hits in three innings to take the loss.
