Ryan Braun hit a two-run home run and Prince Fielder added a two-run double as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Atlanta Braves 9-3 on Friday.

Casey McGehee drove in a run and had three hits to lead a 16-hit attack, while Alcides Escobar, Ricky Weeks and starter Randy Wolf each had an RBI.

Wolf (7-8) beat the Braves for the first time since 2003, improving to 5-12 against them. The veteran left-hander surrendered three runs on seven hits before running into trouble in the seventh. He allowed the first three batters in the inning to reach, but the bullpen worked out of the jam to leave the bases loaded and strand the tying run at first.

Corey Hart, Carlos Gomez, Weeks and Escobar added two hits apiece for the Brewers, who won for the first time in five games against Atlanta this season.

Braves starter Tommy Hanson (8-6) lasted only five innings and allowed four runs - three earned - on six hits. The Braves' bullpen, which entered the game having given up only four earned runs in 26 2/3 innings this month, surrendered five runs - four earned - over four innings.

Melky Cabrera had two hits and Troy Glaus and Brian McCann drove in runs for the Braves. Third baseman Chipper Jones left the game in the seventh inning with a mild left hamstring strain.
