The San Francisco Giants completed the four-game sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks on Travis Ishikawa’s RBI single in the 10th inning in a 3-2 victory Sunday at Chase Field.
Buster Posey extended his hitting to 18 games with four more hits, including the double that started the winning rally off Esmerling Vazquez (1-3).
Posey was pinch-ran for after his double by Eli Whiteside, who scored on Ishikawa’s single.
The Diamondbacks’ Justin Upton had a three-hit game and extended his hitting streak to 12 games.
He was about all of the offense Arizona produced as the Diamondbacks had several scoring opportunities in the eighth and ninth innings but came up short.
Sergio Romo (3-3) picked up the win with Brian Wilson earning his 29th save.
San Francisco’s Tim Lincecum went the first eight innings before giving way to the bullpen. He allowed nine hits, two earned runs, walked one and struck out five.
Arziona rookie right-hander Barry Enright received a no-decision despite a solid six-inning effort. He allowed eight hits, two earned, three walks with two walks.
