The Colorado Rockies hit four home runs, including three straight in the seventh inning, and completed a three-game sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks with an 8-2 win Thursday.
Troy Tulowitzki's two-run homer in the first helped Colorado take a 4-2 lead into the seventh as the Rockies blew the game open in winning their fifth straight.
Pinch-hitter Seth Smith, who homered twice Wednesday, hit a two-run homer before Carlos Gonzalez and Ryan Spilborghs hit solo shots in the frame. It was the first time three Rockies belted consecutive homers since April 27, 2004.
Arizona starter Dan Haren (5-4) allowed all four homers and gave up eight runs in 6 1/3 innings. He has surrendered 16 home runs in 74 innings this season after allowing 27 all of last year.
Jason Hammel (2-3) tied a career-high with eight strikeouts and gave up two runs in 5 1/3 innings. Both runs came in the sixth on singles by Mark Reynolds and Chris Young.
The Diamondbacks, starting a nine-game road trip within the National League West, have now lost four straight as they struck out 14 times.
Gonzalez and Spilborghs finished with three hits apiece for the Rockies.
