The Arizona Diamondbacks could muster only two hits off Florida starter Josh Johnson as the Marlins won in a romp Tuesday, 8-0.

Johnson (4-1) went seven innings allowing two walks while striking out nine. Arizona’s only hits were singles by outfielder Justin Upton and starter Billy Buckner.

Florida also put up eight runs without the services of superstar Hanley Ramirez, who was benched after being pulled last night for a lack of effort. His replacement Brian Barden filled in by reaching base twice and had two RBIs.

The Marlins opened the scoring when Barden was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the fourth inning. A Jorge Cantu double in the fifth made it 2-0 and Barden made it 3-0 in the sixth with a single before Cameron Maybin and Dan Uggla blew it open later that inning with back-to-back home runs.

Buckner (0-1) pitched well for Arizona, giving up only two runs in five innings. Reliever Saul Rivera was held responsible for all five Florida runs in the sixth inning.

Arizona first basemen Adam Laroche left the game in the sixth after being hit by a pitch.
