Jeff Francoeur, David Wright and Ike Davis each hit home runs and four pitchers combined on a seven-hit shutout as the New York Mets beat the Minnesota Twins 6-0 on Sunday to claim their sixth consecutive home series.
New York starter Jonathon Niese (5-2) threw six scoreless innings, holding the Twins to four runs and three walks while striking out five. Elmer Dessens, Pedro Feliciano and Bobby Parnell each worked scoreless innings in relief.
The Mets chased Twins starter Scott Baker (6-7) with one out in the fifth, dinging him for six runs on 11 hits, including all three homers.
Francoeur opened the scoring with a two-run shot in the fourth, and Wright and Davis hit back-to-back homers in the fifth. Rod Barajas added an RBI single later in the inning.
Wright and Francoeur each went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Jose Feliciano also had three hits for the Mets, who have won 14 of their last 17 at home and 16 of 21 overall.
