Gio Gonzalez tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings and Mark Ellis sparked the offense with a two-run, bases-loaded double in the sixth inning as the Oakland A's shut out the Cleveland Indians, 3-0, on Friday night.
Jack Cust drove in the game’s only other run for Oakland, which has won six of seven.

Gonzalez gave up five hits, walked four and struck out five to win for the first time since June 6.
Andrew Bailey pitched a perfect ninth for his 16th save.
