Drew Stubbs homered and drove in four runs and Scott Rolen added a home run of his own in the Cincinnati Reds’ 10-3 win over the Cleveland Indians on Friday.
Stubbs hit a two-run homer in the second, his eighth, and Rolen hit his 16th homer in the fifth as the Reds have now won four straight
Cleveland starter Aaron Laffey (0-2) allowed five runs in four innings in his first start since being recalled from Triple-A. Joe Smith, also recently added from the minors, allowed four runs - three earned - in two innings of relief.
Carlos Santana and Jhonny Peralta homered off Aaron Harang for Cleveland, which has lost six straight and nine of its last 10.
Harang (6-7) walked a season-high five but pitched out of trouble long enough to allow just three runs in seven innings.
Santana’s homer was his third in 41 at-bats, but the phenom left the game in the fifth with a sore left thumb.
