Bobby Abreu and Erick Aybar homered and the Los Angeles Angels roughed up David Huff in a 5-2 victory over the Cleveland Indians on Monday night.
Juan Rivera and Hideki Matsui drove in runs as the Angels had a season-high 15 hits, six of which went for extra bases.
Aybar led off the game with a homer and Abreu hit a two-run shot in the sixth to push the advantage to 5-1.
Huff (1-3) was tagged for 12 hits and five runs over 5 1/3 innings in the losing effort.
Angels starter Jered Weaver (3-0) remained perfect on the season, allowing one run and seven hits in six innings while striking out seven.
Four relief pitchers bridged the gap to closer Brian Fuentes, who struck out the side for his third save.
Austin Kearns had three hits, including a homer in the eighth, and Jhonny Peralta’s RBI single to center in the second was the only other run for Cleveland, which dropped to 4-9 on the road.
