Jim Thome hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th to lift the Minnesota Twins to a 7-6 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday.
Delmon Young and Orlando Hudson each added homers for the Twins, who increased their lead to four games over the White Sox in the American League Central.
The White Sox forced extra innings when Alexei Ramirez homered off Matt Capps in the ninth and took a 6-5 lead in the top of the 10th when Ramirez singled in a run off Jon Rauch.
But Minnesota battled back as Young led off the bottom of the 10th with a single off Matt Thornton (3-4) and Thome followed with his second homer in as many games to give his team the walk-off win.
Knotted at 4-4 in the bottom of the fifth, Young came up with two down and drove a 1-1 pitch from left-hander John Danks over the wall in left for his 15th homer of the season to make it 5-4.
The Twins grabbed four runs in the first off John Danks to take the early lead before Chicago battled back with three runs in the second and one in the fourth to tie it.
