Mark Buehrle pitched seven scoreless innings and A.J. Pierzynski hit a pair of home runs to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 8-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Friday.
Buehrle (8-7) gave up six hits and three walks with a pair of strikeouts to improve to 5-1 in his last six starts.
Pierzynski hit a solo shot in the fourth to put the White Sox up 3-1 and he added a three-run shot to highlight Chicago's four-run eighth inning.
Andruw Jones went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Chicago, which has won six straight.
Bruce Chen (5-3) took the loss, allowing three runs and six hits in 3 1/3 innings. The Royals bullpen could not keep the White Sox down as Kanekoa Texeira gave up a run and Victor Marte allowed four runs and three hits in 1 2/3 innings.
Yuniesky Betancourt hit a two-run homer in the ninth for the Royals.
